Terms of service
Welcome to RAPTIX 4X4. These Terms of Service ("Terms") govern your use of raptix4x4.com.au (the "Site") and any purchase made through it. By using the Site or placing an order, you agree to these Terms and our Privacy Policy [LINK].
RAPTIX 4X4 is an Australian business. Nothing in these Terms excludes, restricts, or modifies any guarantee, right, or remedy you have under the Australian Consumer Law (ACL) that cannot lawfully be excluded.
1. Products & Vehicle Capability
We make every effort to accurately describe our products, including compatible vehicle makes, models, and years. However, fitment information is provided as a guide only — variations between vehicle trims, model years, and prior modifications mean it's your responsibility to confirm compatibility with your specific vehicle before purchasing. If you're unsure, contact us via our Contact Us page before ordering.
Product images, colours, and descriptions may vary slightly from the physical product due to display settings or manufacturing variation. We reserve the right to update product information, discontinue products, or limit quantities at our discretion.
Nothing in this section limits your consumer guarantee rights under the ACL if a product is not fit for its stated purpose or does not match its description.
2. Pricing and Payment
All prices are listed in Australian Dollars (AUD) and include GST where applicable, unless stated otherwise. Prices, discounts, and promotions may change without notice; the price charged is the price in effect at the time your order is placed.
Payment is processed securely via Shopify Payments. Afterpay may also be available at checkout as a "buy now, pay later" option, subject to Afterpay's own approval process and terms — see Afterpay's terms.
You warrant that any payment details you provide are accurate and that you're authorised to use the chosen payment method.
3. Orders and Order Confirmation
Placing an order is an offer to purchase, which we may accept or decline at our discretion (e.g. due to stock availability or a pricing error). Your order isn't accepted until we confirm it and process your payment.
If we discover an error in a product listing, price, or availability after you've ordered, we'll contact you before proceeding. You may cancel for a full refund if you don't wish to continue at the corrected details. Please review your order carefully before submitting, as we may not be able to accommodate changes once an order is confirmed.
4. Pre-Orders and Estimated Arrival Dates
Some products may be listed as pre-order items or show an estimated arrival date due to supplier lead times, particularly for specialty or made-to-order 4x4 accessories. Estimated arrival dates are estimates only, are not guaranteed, and may change due to supplier or freight delays outside our control.
If a pre-order is delayed significantly, we'll notify you and you may choose to continue waiting or cancel for a full refund.
5. Shipping and Delivery
Shipping costs, methods, and delivery timeframes are set out on our Shipping & Returns page [LINK]. Delivery timeframes are estimates only and aren't guaranteed. We're not liable for delays caused by couriers or events outside our reasonable control.
Risk in the goods passes to you once delivered to the address provided at checkout, without limiting any right you have under the ACL if goods are lost or damaged in transit due to our failure to comply with a consumer guarantee.
6. Returns
Our return and refund process, including timeframes and how to initiate a return, is set out on our Shipping & Returns page [LINK].
Nothing in these Terms excludes, restricts, or modifies your consumer guarantees under the Australian Consumer Law for goods that are faulty, not fit for purpose, or not as described. Where the ACL applies, remedies may include repair, replacement, or refund. Change-of-mind returns (i.e. not due to a fault) are offered at our discretion and are subject to the eligibility criteria on our Shipping & Returns page.
7. Installation Services
Many of our products — including bullbars, snorkels, and roller shutters — require professional installation. We strongly recommend using a qualified 4x4 fitter or mechanic unless you have the relevant tools, experience, and knowledge to install the product safely yourself.
We're not responsible for damage, malfunction, or safety issues arising from incorrect self-installation or installation by an unqualified third party. Where we recommend or facilitate a professional fitting service, this is offered as a convenience and doesn't affect your consumer guarantee rights regarding the product itself.
8. Vehicle Compliance
Modifying a vehicle with aftermarket parts (such as bullbars, snorkels, or roller shutters) may be subject to Australian Design Rules (ADRs) and state or territory-specific road transport regulations, including requirements around airbag compatibility, engineering certification, and registration/compliance plate impacts.
These requirements vary by state and territory and may vary depending on your specific vehicle. It is your responsibility to confirm that any product you purchase and install complies with the road rules and vehicle standards applicable in your state or territory before use on public roads. We recommend checking with your local road transport authority or a licensed vehicle engineer if you're unsure, particularly for structural modifications like bullbars.
We are not liable for fines, registration issues, or compliance failures resulting from modifications made using our products where compliance was not independently verified by you.
9. Limitation of Liability
This section is subject to your rights under the Australian Consumer Law, which cannot be excluded, restricted, or modified.
To the extent permitted by law, RAPTIX 4X4 is not liable for any indirect, incidental, or consequential loss (including lost profits or lost use) arising from your use of the Site or products purchased through it. Where the ACL applies and permits us to limit liability for a failure to comply with a consumer guarantee, our liability is limited, at our option, to repairing or replacing the goods, supplying equivalent goods, or refunding the purchase price.
10. Intellectual Property
All content on the Site — including text, graphics, logos, images, and product descriptions — is owned by or licensed to RAPTIX 4X4 and protected by Australian and international copyright and trademark law. You may not reproduce, distribute, or use this content without our written permission, other than for personal, non-commercial use of the Site.
11. Governing Law
These Terms are governed by the laws of [STATE/TERRITORY TO BE CONFIRMED], Australia, and any disputes are subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of that state or territory.
